Description: A Dakota low-fire ceramic clay jar with motifs on two sides under a clear glaze, circa 1987. One side has an abstracted peace pipe in yellow and greenish blue. The other side is a traditional geometric motif in the same colors. The base is inscribed "L.S.TP/ RD/ 9-87". This jar matches jar 1987.223.1. The jar is souvenir from a traditional Dakota dinner hosted by the Lower Sioux Community in Morton, Minnesota, for the Minnesota Historical Society Executive Council on September 11, 1987. Made by Rita Dallenbach.
