Description: A pipe bowl, possibly Dakota, carved out of pipestone (catlinite) with a circular-section bowl element that tapers slightly toward its base; a hexagonal prow; and a circular-section shank flattened along its underside, circa the mid- to late 19th century. The stone is an especially dark and deep red color.
