Description: Star quilt made of a cotton polyester blend. The quilt features an eight-pointed star with pieced diamonds at the center and broken star elements surround it on a white background with a red border. Red bias binding is applied with a zig zag stitch, and it is hand quilted with overlapping semicircles. The quilt was a retirement gift to Russell Fridley, Director of the Minnesota Historical Society, from Ernest and Vernell Wabasha of the Lower Sioux Community in February, 1987.
