Description: A Plains tobacco pouch, possibly Lakota, made from a calf pericardium with a beaded buckskin collar, circa the 1880s. A floral pattern is beaded onto the body of the bag using glass seed beads. The bottom edge has bead wrapped tassels. The pouch is from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, South Dakota.
