Description: A Dakota pipe stem carved out of red pipestone (catlinite), circa the late 19th or early 20th century. One-third of the stem is a smooth cylinder, with a raised lip at its end. The remaining two-thirds are carved into a spiral shape. See PUID# 2855.E286.A for matching bowl.
