Description: A Dakota pipestone (catlinite) pipe with a red ribbon tied to the bowl, circa the mid-19th century. The stem is flat well-polished wood wrapped with red and white beads diagonally around the stem and blue beads interspersed with white beads with a green satin ribbon at the top and bottom of bead work, also red, white and blue satin ribbon streamers.
