Description: Plain Dakota wooden pipe stem. The pipe is cylindrical and has been well used. It was collected by Colonel John G. Clark of the 50th Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry Regiment at Fort Rice in Dakota Territory during the US-Dakota War of 1862. See also pipe bowl, ID Number 69.54.9.B.
