Description: An elbow style, pipestone bowl (A) with lead inlay design at two points: diagonal stripping at bowl rim and crisscross design on posterior projection, possibly Dakota, circa the mid- to late 19th century. The cylindrical wood stem (B) has an overall carved floral motif, painted in bright colors and carved spiral design at one end. The predominant colors are: blue, green, red, yellow, orange, and white.
