Titles: Pipestone pipe bowl and stem (Supplied title)
Description: A pipestone pipe bowl and stem, possibly Dakota, circa the mid- to late 19th century. The elbow style, pipestone bowl (A) is mottled, its square base has chamfering and bowl rim has pewter inlay in an ‘X’ design. The pipestone pipestem (B) is mottled and is flat with squared edges and carved on one side. The carving motifs include a vine and clover design throughout with a fan of leaves at both ends, and a cow at wider end.
