Titles: Dakota beaded and ribbonwork decorated moccasins (Supplied title)
Description: A pair of Dakota deerskin moccasins with cuff trimmed with red silk ribbon, circa the early 20th century. The vamp or insert is decorated with glass seed beeds in floral motif and trimmed with faded blue silk ribbon. Predominant colors are pink, white, and green. The flap beneath cuff is bound with red silk ribbon which extends and served as tie closure. On the bottom of right moccasin is written in ink "Made by Mrs. Good Thunder for Mrs. Whipple 1904."
