Description: A small Dakota knife sheath circa 1900, possible made at the Crow Creek or Lower Brule reservation in South Dakota. The sheath consists of a leather pouch with a leather loop at top and a quilled tail suspended from the bottom edge that terminates in metal cones. The front of the sheath has multicolor quillwork in a linear and triangular pattern.
