Description: Pair of leather moccasins reportedly given to General Herman Haupt as a gift from the Hunkpapa Lakota chief Sitting Bull. Single-piece upper construction sewn to hard sole. Decorated with dyed quillwork in a floral motif and lined with white cotton. Predominant colors are red, green, and blue. Foot opening bound with faded purple silk ribbon.
