Description: A Dakota pipe bowl carved out of red pipestone (catlinite) into the shape of a horse and rider, circa the mid- to late 19th century. Incisions in the stone indicate the horse's ears, eyes and mouth; the rider appears to be wearing a frock coat. See PUID# 6020.1.B for related.
