Description: A pipe bowl, possibly Dakota, carved out of red pipestone (catlinite) into a hatchet, circa the late 19th century or earlier. The blade and shank are decoratively carved. Originally used in the vicinity of Granite Falls, Minnesota. See PUID# 8725.A for related.
