Description: A Plains spear, possibly Dakota, collected by Jacob V. Brower in McCook County, South Dakota in the second half of the 19th century. The spear consists of a bone point lashed to the top a long wooden staff with leather, and another small, claw-like bone point also lashed with leather closer to the bottom of the staff.
