Description: Mirror for chest of drawers (see ID Number 62.158.A) reportedly used as a hiding place for a settler's infant in New Ulm, Minnesota, during the 1862 U.S.-Dakota War. The oval mirror has a molded oval wooden frame which pivots on a metal rod attached to curved wooden support brackets.
