Description: Large Dakota roach headdress with red cotton grosgrain and purple silk ribbons. It has a short outer layer of dyed red deer hair and inner layers of undyed porcupine quills, all sewn tightly together along the base. An oblong leather roach spreader has attached ornaments of a short hollow bone and a mature eagle feather terminating in a yellow tuft.
