Description: A carved wood Dakota bow from Fort Totten, North Dakota, circa the late 19th or early 20th century. The bow has a smooth, stained outer surface. The inner surface has a black applied material. The original bowstring of twisted sinew has one broken loop end. A replacement bowstring of harness lacing has been strung.
