Pipestone pipe bowl

Description: A pipe bowl, possibly Dakota, carved out of red pipestone (catlinite) in the calumet form, cicra the late 19th to early 20th century. The bowl has a cylindrical vertical portion and a shank and prow also cylindrical except for a ventral flat. The proximal end of the shank is square in section and has a wood tube inserted for connection to the stem.
