Description: A seamless hide medicine pouch with lane stitch beadwork pieces appliqued to represent a calf's features (renders a face on both sides), possibly Dakota, circa the early 20th century or earlier. Small thongs dangle from eye and ear patches. A muslin cuff intended for use to close the bag is attached at the pouch opening. The glass seed beads are primarily blue and white with red and green.
