Description: A Dakota male doll made by Rebecca Bluecloud from the Upper Sioux Indian Community in Granite Falls, Minnesota, circa the early to mid 20th century. The doll wears fringed leather leggings and shirt and a crimson fabric breech cloth. The dyed green front panel of the shirt, the breech cloth and the moccasins are decorated with glass beads. The doll also features a long bead and shell necklace and a wrapped glass bead choker. The doll has black faceted glass beads eyes, natural leather head, and braided black yarn hair.
