Description: A spoon, possibly Dakota, carved from a single piece of brownish black horn, probably buffalo, circa 1900. The deep oval bowl has a chipped lip and many fine cracks overall. The narrow handle has a groove around the tip of the circumference. This spoon was reportedly made by Dakota from the Cheyenne River Reservation in South Dakota, where the donor's relatives worked, circa 1890-1905.
