Titles: Bow case and quiver (Supplied title)

Description: A bow case and quiver of animal hide, possibly Dakota, decorated along both sides and on strap with black, blue and orange paint in geometric designs, circa the mid to late 19th century. Stick inserted in back of quiver to hold it taut, kept in place by rawhide lacing over red wool fabric, hide disc forms bottom, sinew-sewn. Bow case attached by leather carrying strap with fringe and sewn to quiver in two places. While possibly collected among the Dakota, it is definitively Southern Plains in origin, likely Apache.
