Wood pipe stem

Titles: Wood pipe stem (Supplied title)

Description: A flat and rectangular wood stem with squared edges and two longitudinal cutout sections, decorated with porcupine-quill wrappings, to one end, and plaid silk ribbon at midsection, possibly Dakota, circa the mid- to late 19th century. Quill colors are red, white, black and green. What appears to be the mouthpiece is wrapped with bird skin, which has a few small green feathers still attached.
