Description: A pipe bowl, possibly Dakota, carved out of red pipestone (catlinite) into the shape of a bird's head, circa the mid-20th century or earlier. The upright part of the bowl, where tobacco is inserted, has a lead inlay design outlining two bows, two arrows, and four crosses. The other end, where the stem is inserted, has a lead inlay in a horizontal bar design.
