Description: Personal sewing kit belonging to 1st Lieutenant Ira Baer of the 337th Field Artillery, who used the kit during World War I. As a civilian Baer was a cashier at the American National Bank in St. Paul, Minnesota. The soft khaki color cloth kit is bound in brown silk braid and tied in a roll. It contains, thread, needles, pins, buttons, and iron on patches.
