US Army cavalry bits, left, right, left, right
Description Two United States Army Model 1863 tinned iron bits with curved shanks and size four (4) ports. Both are missing curb chains. One of the bits (.1) has a brass "US" bit boss riveted to each end of the mouth, a broken shank support, and fragments of leather reins attached to the rein rings. The right side bit boss is attached upside down; the left is right side up.
