US Army cavalry bits

| Description | Two United States Army Model 1863 tinned iron bits with curved shanks and size four (4) ports. Both are missing curb chains. One of the bits (.1) has a brass "US" bit boss riveted to each end of the mouth, a broken shank support, and fragments of leather reins attached to the rein rings. The right side bit boss is attached upside down; the left is right side up. |
