Description: United States military helmet worn by Norman F. Claussen of Saint Paul, Minnesota, during his service in the Field Artillery of Mexican Border Patrol and World War I. The green painted steel helmet has a Federal eagle insignia on the front, an adjustable leather chin strap that fastens on the inside and a leather liner fastened inside. The underside of the brim is inscribed "HS392 - 15FA".
