Description .United States fractional currency note issued by the National Bank Note Co. of New York. Denomination of twenty five (25) cents. It reads, in part, "Furnished only by the Assistant Treasurers and Designated Depositaries of the United States" and (back) "THIS NOTE IS EXCHANGEABLE FOR UNITED STATES NOTES [...] / IN SUMS NOT LESS THAN THREE DOLLARS RECEIVABLE IN PAYMENT OF ALL DUES TO THE UNITED STATES, LESS THAN FIVE DOLLARS, EXCEPT CUSTOMS".
