Description: BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Gregerson is a native of Rochester, Minnesota, and attended the University of Minnesota, receiving a degree in 1969 in engineering. He went on to receive his master's in public health in 1973. He joined Northern States Power Company (NSP) in 1973 as an electrical engineer and was named director of the environmental regulatory activities department in 1984. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: His responsibilities as director of the environmental regulatory activities department; how state and federal regulations affect NSP; working with regulatory agencies; dealing with acid rain laws; groundwater pollution; nuclear plant controversy; Minnesota's environmental regulations and NSP's decisions; working with environmental groups (The Nature Conservancy and Sierra Club); future environmental concerns for NSP.
