Dakota beaded book cover
Description Chocolate brown suede book cover made by Sitting Earth (Dakota) 1860-1890, and used by Johanna Bohlig and Franck John Swenson of Chaska, Minnesota. Exterior has a cross-shaped Morning Star rendered in red and green beads at center, framed by brown, orange/ yellow and red beads in a geometric motif. The edges and inside flaps are also trimmed with beads. Inside is a tag with "#40/ Brn book/ cover/ made by/ Sitting/ Earth" handwritten in ink.
