Description: A tomahawk style pipestone pipe bowl, possibly Dakota, circa the mid- to late 19th century. The bowl base has chamfered edges and is incised with decorative markings. Both sides of the anterior projection are carved with decorative borders; right side features scene of an American Indian riding a horse, pulling a travois and holding an American flag. The left side features wheat like grain, a rabbit, thunder bolt, and other images.
