Leather beaded bag with loom-woven strap
Description Round cloth beaded pouch with loom-woven strap. Pouch is spot-stitch decorated with a blue, pink and green central floral motif on white bead background, on both sides. Pouch is lined in purple silk and opening is bound with light blue ribbon. Loom-woven bead strap features white and blue geometric designs. While it's certainly possible this object was collected among the Dakota, the style in which it was made strongly indicates its Anishinaabe origin. Possibly made for sale.
