Description: M1 helmet liner made of plastic and painted olive on the exterior has "PALM" hand-lettered below an affixed viking-horn helmet decal of the 47th Infantry Division. The sides of the helmet each have a painted staff sergeant rank insignias. Inside has a cotton webbing suspension with leather sweatband and metal clasps. Worn by Rollyn Palm of Stillwater, Minnesota, who was killed in action serving in the Korean War. Circa 1950-1953.
