Description: BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Henry Doerr was a retired officer of Norwest Bank of Minneapolis. While employed by Norwest, Doerr's responsibilities included assisting the Corporate Trustee in connection with the Blandin Residuary Trust, serving as a director of Blandin Paper Company and as a director of the Blandin Foundation. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Doerr spoke of his responsibilities to the Residuary Trust, to the Blandin Foundation and to the Blandin Paper Company. He talked of the sale of the Blandin Paper Company and of the impact this had on the foundation, including the change from a Grand Rapids focus to a statewide focus. He also described other changes in the foundation and the foundation board which occurred after the sale of the mill. The interview ended with a discussion of the legacy of key leaders.
