Description: Mourning ribbon consists of a rosette of white satin ribbon at the top of a black velvet ribbon edged in gold braid and fringed with gold bullion. Three star shapes made of gold colored sequins and bullion are placed in a vertical row on the ribbon; one centered in rosette and two on the velvet. The whole piece is covered with mourning crepe. Circa 1865.
