Description: Brass matchbox with a hinged top and ornamented with four embossed brass medallions in floral designs. The matchbox was reportedly purchased by the donor, a Minneapolis man, from one of Chief Sitting Bull's wives in Mandan, North Dakota, circa 1888-89.
