Description: A narrow cylindrical Dakota canvas awl case with wood base. The exterior is beaded in horizontal stripes of green, yellow and blue. A strip of leather beaded with blue beads hangs from the top of the case. A leather thong for hanging terminates in a metal jingle cone that has dyed yellow horsehair projecting from the tip. Awl case was collected in Mandan, North Dakota.
