Titles: Northern States Power/Rondo Days cup (Supplied title)
Description: "Remember Rondo" commemorative plastic cup with a "NSP / The Energy to Make Things Better" advertisement on the back. NSP was likely a sponsor of the annual Rondo Days event, organized by Rondo Avenue, Inc. The event commemorated the Rondo neighborhood in St. Paul, Minnesota, the vibrant African American community that was shattered in the 1960s by Interstate 94 freeway construction. One side of the cup reads, "Rondo Avenue, Inc, is a nonprofit organization that was founded for the purpose of promoting community activities associated with our youth and elderly, to develop a positive community spirit and promote entrepreneurship." Manufactured by Giacona Co., New Orleans, Louisiana, 1990.
