Description: Dark blue wool Ojibwe bandolier bag has a beaded strap and pocket. A fringe of bead tassels are suspended at the bottom of the bag. Bandolier bag is from the White Earth Reservation, Minnesota. Bag is pictured in 1914 photo "Darwin S. Hall and his wife with Native American Indian collection" (Locator number por 3172 p2). Hall was appointed chairman of the Chippewa Indian Commission by President Harrison in 1891 and served in that capacity off and on for several years.
