Description: BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Francisco Gomez was born in Pueblo Diario, Jalisco, Mexico, in 1907. He came to the United States in 1922 and Minnesota in 1927 and worked for 23 years at the Armour Packing Company in St. Paul. Later he and his wife, Casimira Gomez, retired to a small farm in Hollandale. SUBJECTS DISCUSSED: Francisco Gomez's early years in the United States; his move to Minnesota; community on St. Paul's West Side; advice to younger people; family history; holiday celebrations and Mexican food.
