Description Short red wool jacket with wide sleeves and black silk bias trim. The jacket was worn by Marion Ramsey when she met President Abraham Lincoln in 1863. Marion was ten years old when she traveled to Washington with her family after her father Alexander Ramsey was elected to the United States Senate. On a reception day at the White House, Marion and a friend were introduced to the President.
