Strauss racing skates

| Description | Men's steel blade racing skates with ankle-height quilted leather shoes. The skates were awarded to Raymond ("Speed King") Kelly by the "St. Paul Dispatch and Pioneer Press" on 14 February 1921 at the Como Ice Rink in St. Paul, Minnesota, for winning first place in the Class A 440 yard dash. The blades are riveted to the shoes. Made by the renowned skate blade manufacturer J.E. Strauss in St. Paul. |
