Titles: Woman's silk satin mantle (Supplied title)
Description: Woman's hand sewn mantle is constructed of black silk satin. A passementerie of silk chenille leaves highlighted with iridescent glass beads is applied to the front opening, bottom hem, stand-up collar and center back. A ruff of black lace is attached to the collar. Beaded silk fringe is hand sewn to the bottom edge and to the tips of the front lappets. The tie closure at the neck is silk faille ribbon, as are the bows that accent the welt pockets in the front lappets. A twill tape tie is stenciled "Mrs. A. Worley/ ST. PAUL, MINN." in gold. Made by Mary G. (Mrs. Adam) Worley, a Saint Paul, Minn. dressmaker.
