Description: Pair of non-regulation United States Army officer's leather calf-length boots worn by Dr. James Martineau of the United States Army Medical Corps. The pull-on type boots are equipped with U.S. Army-type German silver (nickel alloy) jack spurs. Each boot has an illegible Syracuse, New York, maker's name stamped on the sole at the arch. The soles and heels are fastened by iron nails
