Description: Menorah made in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The menorah, one of the oldest symbols in Judaism, holds seven candles symbolizing seven days of creation. The temple menorah is different from a Hanukkah menorah or chanukiah, which has nine branches. This gold painted iron alloy candelabra features cut and soldered foliage decoration on the curved arms and each candle holder has a folded, petal-like decoration. The base is hand lettered: "WPA [Works Projects Administration] HANDICRAFT PROJECT/#8099/ST. PAUL MINN. DIS 3".
