Description: Wood and metal seal. Wooden handle is turned and metal stamp reads, "ST. PETERS/INDIAN/AGENCY" and has crossed peace pipe and hatchet in center. Used by Major Lawrence Taliaferro, Indian Agent at Fort Snelling from 1820 to 1839.
