Lakota trade blanket capote
Description Capote, possibly Sihasapa Lakota (Blackfoot), made from a white cotton Hudson's Bay blanket with black, red, and green border stripes. The coat's hood and sleeves are fringed and the hood has ribbed red silk cloth binding that forms a tie at the neck. Circa 1880.
