Description: Wood, "C"-shaped sailboat rudder from the "Yankee Girl", a 10 ft. sailboat of plywood and fiberglass built by Gerry Spiess of White Bear Lake, Minnesota, in 1977 for his successful 1979 one-man trip across the Atlantic. Spiess later sailed across the Pacific in the same vessel. See the sailboat, 1984.26.32.A.
