Titles: Minnewaska fur-bearing trophy fish (Supplied title)

Description: Painted wooden fish with metal fins and a synthetic fur coat mounted to wood plaque. The "trophy" was crafted by Dr. Alfred Tangen, circa 1948. The poem affixed to the plaque reads: "It got so cold in ā€˜48 / We used icicles for our bait! / The fish all huddled in a school / (an energy conservation pool). / They shook and shivered until when / Their numbers dwindled down to ten. / So Mother Nature did her thing / Her adaptation rule is king. / I hesitate this tale to share, / The naked fish did sorely fare. / The fish Iā€™d seen were always bare / The one I caught was wearing hair!ā€
